Google Chrome Extensions for Web Development

Google Chrome extensions has been available for quite some time now and it seems to be growing more and more each day. Google Chrome just got a whole lot more useful with the expansion of new extensions based around web development, making designers and developers like myself giddy with joy. That right! Finally, extensions for web development.

Firefox is without doubt the most popular browser used by many within the developer community and still considered my top favorite browser to work with personally. I could argue with you why that is the case but to put it bluntly, its mainly due to the awesome add-ons available. Chrome is definitely catching up though. Effective Web Design

One of the more informative articles I’ve read thus far was one that centered around what is known as Information Architecture and the role it plays in site redesigns. I’ve taken a class on information architecture a few years ago and this was a nice refresher course on just how critical it is to think about the long-term sustainability for a site your planning on rebuilding. Building a website without first gathering data (personas, site maps, wire frames, etc.) and creating the blueprint of what is regarded as a solid framework of the site cannot be stressed enough.
